Cord
I've tried to find some information about it, I know it can happen when traffic is being capped by ISP or peers are actually closing the connection. However, I have torrents from the same tracker that work, others are red (and they take turns in getting red or green) and I get either connection closed by peer or timeout/offline. Other torrents from another tracker work perfectly, all of them. I haven't changed anything as far as the network is concerned in months. I do think it started when I updated to 1.81, not 100% sure though. And I don't believe that my ISP is capping my connection.I'm behind a wireless router, port forwarding is active, the connection icon is green so traffic seems to get through, I'm behind a firewall but it's open for µtorrent. This all is working on a laptop with Vista (meh). Help please?
thelittlefire
http://utorrent.com/faq.php#What_do_the_red_icons_mean_on_the_torrent_status_icons.3F means you should check the Trackers tab, Status column. If it says closed by peer, it's HIGHLY likely your problem started when you updated. MANY programs treat a new update as a completely different program. WORSE still some silently block connections to programs with the same name as previous ones. SO I would try removing and re-adding your rules to the firewall, and verify your AV and security software doesn't have uTorrent.exe blocked :/
