I've looked around the forums and have seen this question asked before, and maybe I missed it but I didn't find the answer to my dilemma. I had set up my static ip address, and port forwarded. For a few weeks utorrent was working perfectly fine, then all of the sudden downloads were going slower. I tested the port and it said it wasnt open, and it is showing a different IP than my static, I'm not too tech savvy but the IP listed in the port test was also confirmed by checking http://www.whatismyip.com. This is my external IP address correct? How did it switch from my static IP to the external IP, and how do I switch it back? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

It's of the form 10.x.x.x or 172.16.x.x-172.31.x.x or 192.168.x.x correct?The external IP is how OTHERS on the internet connect to you, correct.
