bludvls33
Hi there, new here, but have been using uTorrent for about a year or more. Never had any issues until this week, when all my bit torrent dls give me this error:Error: The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error. Can anyone help me out with this? I have restarted the computer, I have checked the destination drive (my external harddrive, which I have always used), I have checked all my devices connected to the system (port replicator for external, dvd burner, cooling fan) and all seem to be working fine. Any suggestions?
thelittlefire
Check the General tab, Save As field. Are you saving to a non-existent drive?
bludvls33
No, I am saving to the same drive I have been saving to for the past year. Nothing has changed, although we do disconnect the laptop from the port replicator sometimes. But we reconnect the same way and I have checked the path. thelittlefire
If you forget to turn-on/connect the drive before turning on uTorrent, all downloading torrents will error out. What happens if you try to START them again? Worst case scenario, right click, force recheck, then START again.
bludvls33
Drive is always on, its connected to the port replicator. When I stop and restart them, the same thing happens. Will try disconnecting the external, shutting down, and reconnecting. Thx.
