Lord Alderaan
Could you supply the errors in the Error Console or equivalent when opening it on the Remote Machine?Looks like a JavaScript error to me.Also have you tried from multiple locations on the internet? Maybe somehow Javascript stuff is getting filtered.
mbma
Java Error console is not showing anything.I'll get back to you on trying from a different location.Javascript getting filtered was my first guess as well. And uTorrent running on ISA would make this verry plausible. But not sure how to test. I know for sure it's letting through js from the external network ... thelittlefire
Surely it stalls after the JS but it's not loading the gfx... Have you tried manual refresh (Ctrl-F5 or the analog in your browser) of the page? There is also a shortcut for resetting the webui (Esc).Odd differences, why does it load main.js twice from a connection on your LAN but not localhost? Lord Alderaan
It is not thelittlefire its loading main.js and main.cssIt might also be that javascript is working but the AJAX (XMLHttpRequest stuff) is filtered.
mbma
Tried CRTL+F5 etc no luck.I reloaded the page to check the logger: must have copied the extra main.js line by accident so no odd differences there.I've loaded the UI from an host elseware on the internet, with same results.Pressing esc on the page makes it freeze(the snake.gif stops rotating)Edit:Would someone be able to provide a ajax hello world example so I can test? fuschal
I've just installed and have had the same problem[uTorrent181, webui0.361].I use ZoneAlarm Firewall and when disabled it works in any configuration, I am assuming this is firewall related. Also try setting a new port under:'uTorrent > Preferences > Web UI > Alternate listening port'
Firon
ZA is a bad firewall, but if you wanna keep it, you just need to set your rules in ZA to allow µTorrent.
randomofamber
This problem in my case is somewhere on PROXY or ISA in my company. Unfortunately it is no way, how to solve (I have not chance to wheedle my admins...)I think that I build my own client becase I trayed a lot of cilents and no one works...Work only plain API ( http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=25661 ) used line by line (eg. http://[iP]:[PORT]/gui/?list=1) in IE or FF... Ultima
Have you tried the legacy WebUI? Perhaps the proxy is filtering gzipped content, or something.
DreadWingKnight
I have deleted the post recommending using an unsupported and insecure version of uT.
waxingsatirical
Did anyone ever get to the bottom of this, I'm having exactly the same problem running uTorrent on ws2k8, running RRAS with NAT. Webui is fine on localhost, but when accessed from remote host it only GETs half the files....
