Incorrect Port

Recommended Posts

Id like to start off apologizing if this is in the wrong forum or is something everyone is asked way too often.

Ive been using uTorrent for several years and personally believe that it is the best torrent software out there. I have used it at many different locations, including a university, and several friends houses. Recently i made the upgrade from dial-up to high speed (thank god!) and have started to torrent in my own residence. Now, ive followed the instructions on Port Forwarding.com and to no avail its not working, even after an hour of leaving the torrents to attempt to download. The icon down at the bottom is indicating red, so im sure that the ports are not being configured properly and when i go to http://www.utorrent.com/testport.php?port=6112 and it says its not configured (for later use the ip is 97.73.xxx.xxx) now note that the url is http://www.utorrent.com/testport.php?port=6112 when i go to the address https://www.utorrent.com/testport.php?port=6112 it says that the connection is ok, except the ip address is 67.143.xxx.xxx. To be honest with everyone, i've spent several years with just dial-up and got use to the "firewall-less" security it provides so i dont really know much about it; although i am a fast learner. I have spent several hours trying to get this to work properly but i cant seem to do so. My router is a Linksys WAG54G and i have full access/rights to it, i also have NOD32 installed as an anti-virus program.

Thank you all for your support
