Pyro.699
Hello,Id like to start off apologizing if this is in the wrong forum or is something everyone is asked way too often.Ive been using uTorrent for several years and personally believe that it is the best torrent software out there. I have used it at many different locations, including a university, and several friends houses. Recently i made the upgrade from dial-up to high speed (thank god!) and have started to torrent in my own residence. Now, ive followed the instructions on Port Forwarding.com and to no avail its not working, even after an hour of leaving the torrents to attempt to download. The icon down at the bottom is indicating red, so im sure that the ports are not being configured properly and when i go to http://www.utorrent.com/testport.php?port=6112 and it says its not configured (for later use the ip is 97.73.xxx.xxx) now note that the url is http://www.utorrent.com/testport.php?port=6112 when i go to the address https://www.utorrent.com/testport.php?port=6112 it says that the connection is ok, except the ip address is 67.143.xxx.xxx. To be honest with everyone, i've spent several years with just dial-up and got use to the "firewall-less" security it provides so i dont really know much about it; although i am a fast learner. I have spent several hours trying to get this to work properly but i cant seem to do so. My router is a Linksys WAG54G and i have full access/rights to it, i also have NOD32 installed as an anti-virus program.Thank you all for your support~Cody Woolaver
moogly
Enter into router setup (type the IP of your gateway in the web browser) and create a port forwarding rule (local IP, TCP/UDP etc).In addition, verify NOD32 is not a pbm because there is a nasty bug with it. Pyro.699
I have done that and i still get the error.192.168.1.1 -> Applications & Gaming:Application = Utor1Start = 6112End = 6112Protocol = BothIP Address = 105Enable = trueThanks~Cody Woolaver
moogly
Yep your port forwarding rule seems to be correct (did you entered the complete local IP not just 105 I mean ?)Did you create a rule in NOD32 & disable IMON ?
Pyro.699
yes i put the full ip address and im unsure of how to make the NOD32 rule or how to disable IMON im somewhat new to NOD32 so im going to need some help with that. I did remove it form the list of browsers though. Thanks~Cody Woolaver

Pyro.699
Thankyou,I believe something else might be the problem. I tried this on a computer that had no firewall software installed and redid the redirect (making sure to put the ip to the new address) and it still said that the port wasnt forwarded properly
