rsnation
I've read about problems people have had with Avast but haven't seen this. Not sure if Avast is even the problem but think it might be. Since installing it my browser (firefox) has been ridiculously slow when utorrent is running. Prior to this I could sail along with very little slow-down. I'm sure there are other possibilities but nothing else has really changed that I can see. Has anyone else experienced this? Ultima
Try disabling Avast's web and P2P shields?
rsnation
Just tried that and it didn't seem to make any discernible difference. Thanks for the suggestion though.
GTHK
Maybe E-mail scanning too?
rsnation
Sorry it's taken me so long to check this out and I really appreciate the help. Disabling email scanning may have helped a little (or it could be my imagination) but I'm still still way too slow to really do anything.Anyone? Thanks! Firon
Well, switch to another firewall that doesn't slow your system down. AVG Free for an AV and Comodo for firewall.
