cdld19
Whenever I try to exit v1.81 when the program is open (ie not minimized to taskbar), or after it crashes, I get a message that Utorrent is open but not responding and I should close the process. I try to do this in task manager but cannot. I click on end process and it asks if I want to close process and I say yes but nothing happens. The only way to get it closed and restarted is to reboot. This also happens sometimes when I try to exit from the taskbar (rightclick). Also when I have intermittent crashes. What's up?
DreadWingKnight
ZoneAlarm + vista?
cdld19
Unfortunately, yes - Vista Ultimate. Zone Alarm also but utorrent is enabled and this happens when it is closed also.
thelittlefire
Zone Alarm hooks into the kernel and uTorrent. It just doesn't let it close. To fix this, you need to uninstall ZA.
cdld19
And use what firewall? Does this only happen with Vista or does it happen in XP also?
DreadWingKnight
The windows integrated firewall is sufficient if you don't have a router.
Ultima
If you must use a software firewall, at least try Comodo: http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?pid=292343#p292343It's infinitely better than ZA (I guess the same can be said about a ton of other applications nowadays).
