TravisOwens
I'd like to point out a functionality bug in the wizard that appears the 1st time you use uTorrent. When I run a check to see if my system allows incoming on that port, the authors totally forgot that most software firewalls protect on a per app, NOT per port basis. So while I have given uTorrent the ability for outgoing and incoming, my web browser DOES NOT have permission to recieve data on that port (nor should it).So in order to properly do port checking, it needs to be done within uTorrent to give true feedback if the port is open or not.Although the intended behavior does work for the majority of setups that use hardware firewalls or XP SP2's built in firewall. tjobo
You got a point. But I wouln't say it's a bug. Maybe is enough to add som informative message on portchecking page.
ludde
The web browser is not trying to receive data on a port. My web server is trying to connect to µTorrent.
TravisOwens
Ahh, so the webbrowser just asks your webserver to attempt to connect to my uTorrent, I understand. My bad.
