Lost Directories

Any time I try to start a new download My files no longer appear in my download folder. When I right click the active torrent and choose open containing folder, it says the folder does not exist.

What folder does it show in the General tab, Save As field ?

under pref. >>general tab there is no save as field using ver.1.8.1

Also I've tried numerous torrents they all have the same result

under pref. there is a directories tab there I have the box checked for put new downloads in and My Documents/Downloads

Apologies, I meant for the torrent. That field in the Details pane (F5) is where uTorrent has put your data.

Since you put the directory there manually... don't, or click the ellipses "..." and browse there through the folder dialog. NO FOLDER in the field for save as is the same as %MYDOCS%\Downloads .

I figured out what you meant the actual torrent shows save as %MYDOCS%\Downloads

OK here is my problem. When I open a torrent via any website Utorrent used to create a folder in my downloads folder that had the files that I was downloading. Now all of a sudden Utorrent will open the torrent and try to start downloading but can't because it fails to create the folder in my downloads folder even though that's where it says it's putting them. I tried numerous torrents all with the same result. What I am doing now is using a different client to start the torrent then cut and pasting the files the other client has made into my downloads folder. Only then will Utorrent work properly. All my settings on Utorrent are default.
