Agaden
I have noticed there is shitloads of "Speed up utorrent videos" on youtube (http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=utorrent+1.8&search_type=&aq=f for example) And i was just wondering, does this really help? It seems they are mostly changing the ports etc
Ultima
No.- Anyone who tells you to use specific values without regard to what kind of connection you're using doesn't know what they're talking about.- Anyone who thinks that increasing net.max_halfopen will absolutely improve overall speeds doesn't know what they're talking about.- In general, the people who make those videos have absolutely no idea what they're talking about. And just FYI, I took a look at the first item in the search results, and it was exactly as I imagined: produced by an ignorant user. Seriously, LOL at setting net.wsaevents to 150 -- they don't even know what the setting is for.Stick to the setup guide.

Switeck
Almost every YouTube uTorrent speedup video is so insanely bad that it's contributing to ISPs throttling, disrupting, or outright banning BitTorrent.
