utorrent no address

i have a problem with utorrent 1.8.1 when i type in a search in the search box eg. starg*** & then press enter it trys to connect but all i get is a blank web page with no address in the address bar.i have set up my zonealarm to the settings in the software firewall configuration sticky & still it wont work. i then uninstalled & started again this time when the speed test box came up i tried it,it would not connect just a blank page no address, tryed the port test it was the same no address. can you help please.

Verify that your control panel's set program access and defaults is set to point at the correct browser.
