Utorrent 1.8 build 11813 crashes continiously

Hi there, I have looked at the stickies before posting and it doesnt appear that I have incompatible software to run utorrent properly. The only different to the this computer and the other I use is the O/S.

This computer is running on Vista Home Premium with AVG anti virus and zone alarm.

At home it runs perfect on the same software but on XP.

The crashes on this computer are inconistent. It may work for a while then crash when trying to close it down or more recently I've noticed it crashes minutes after it is opened.

I've also done a number of malware scans on safemode and all it found was cookies so I believe the system is pretty clean.

Even although I've downloaded countless torrents this year with no problems? All with ZA installed.

The crash problem has been reoccuring for months though. I've just turned a blind eye to it.

The build of uT you're using is also old and unsupported, but YES even with all the problem-free time, ZA still has problems.

Hi there, I will be updating Utorrent in a few minutes after posting these logs.

I ran the PE thing and I think I done it properly, this is new to me but if you need it done again correctly let me know. Utorrent crashed while I was running the programme / generating the log. HJT log also there.

When you open PE, select uTorrenT.exe in process list to see what is injected in uT process.

Get rid of Zone Alarm. It's very likely that's your problem. Otherwise WinPatrol is injected, and probably doesn't need to be.

Try to disable WinPatrol (and maybe uninstall it). Look at if uT crashes. If yes, disable ZA or uninstall it.

Yeah that can be removed, I found it quite handy when I was trying to clean up startup processes. I can remove that if your recommend it.

Will you give me a detailed report on this or will I just remove winpatrol?

Remove WinPatrol and test uT. If crashes appear again. Delete ZA. Test again.

You really think that my firewall is the problem? Can you recommend a good one that is compatible with Utorrent?

Yeah I am on the most uptodate version, 1.8.1 build 12639. It seems to be okay working okay I am just working on speeding up my download rates.
