vietbub
ok so i do have all of my torrents are seeding but 4 are active and 5 are inactive. what does that mean? do the 5 bring my ratio down? and are the inactives seeding?
Ultima
Inactive means it's not downloading/uploading at rates above the threshold speed to be considered active. By default, that's 1 KB/s. They don't necessarily bring your ratio down; they simply won't bring your ratio up either as long as they remain active (naturally so, considering the fact that you need to be uploading to have your ratio increase). Switeck
Well, they might bring your ratio up if someone is downloading from you super-slow...less than 1 KB/sec. But that'd take bloody ages.
Dystractia
i have something that may lean more towards a feature request but it its in a bit of a grey area that might fit here...as ultima pointed out the settings for the ul or dl thresholds also dictates the threshold for classifying a torrent as active or not. this makes complete sense, it allows the queueing system to "know" when to start another torrent due to sub threshold activity. this however is also essentially my problem. i wanted to know if there was any way to have those torrents which are currently active but below the threshold value to still show up as active torrents in the category list?or if i put it another way, it seemed like the point of the threshold settings was to make better use of bandwidth by allowing more torrents to be downloading/uploading at the same time (than otherwise set in preferences) rather than reclassify what speeds define a torrent as active for the category list?maybe i missed something obvious? Ultima
Indeed, torrents are actually reclassified after they cross the threshold, and there's no way to change that as is.
