ognirc
I'm trying to configure my family's machine running XP. They all chose to have their own user accounts in Windows. I'd like to set up uTorrent so that, whichever person logs in, uTorrent will pick up the same session, continue downloading or seeding, etc.I've created a directory called "torrent" in the system partition(C:\). In this directory, I have two other directories called "tor" and "fintor." I set uTorrent to use "C:\torrent\" as the active session directory, "C:\torrent\tor\" as the "location of torrents," and "C:\torrent\fintor\" as the directory to send finished torrents to.I figured if I'd just set these preferences in each user's uTorrent settings, it could share the session between users. However, my thinking isn't very clear right now and I really haven't done much trial and error yet.Is there a way to set preferences in one account and share the configuration file, instead of changing the settings manually for each user(by copying .dat files or something)?* The reason I want to set it up this way is that they belong to a couple private sites, using the same account. It would be more ideal to seed all files acquired from these sites instead of limiting to the ones the Windows user has downloaded.I may just end up eliminating the other Windows user accounts if this can't be done. It's a hassle configuring around them anyways. But, I still want to know if there would be issues doing what I said.-edit-I just now realized that could be a problem if a user switches accounts as opposed to logging out completely. uTorrent would still be running. Didn't consider this. Bah~

ognirc
Ah, didn't see that. Danke.I guess I'll just give it a go and see what happens.-edit-Yeah, that worked out pretty well. However, in order for it to work, they have to save the torrent to the load directory every time. If they want it organized, they have to work with it later. Went over their heads a few times until it finally stuck. If only I could get uTorrent to do everything I want in Linux. Such a nice app. Deluge is progressing, but they have a ton of bugs to work out yet.
