chaosblade
500 Connections per client is about 10 times more then you should ever need. What performance did you get from the default settings ?
winMX_67
Whats the default max # of connections?
Korsen
All i know from experience with bittorrent has been that the more people you connect to, the better chance you have of uploading from them. I dunno what the default was. I just remember that i had these settings previously and i was getting 300+ kb/s from more than 200+ connections. Korsen
Also, why the hell does uTorrent bother connecting to hundreds of peers if it doesn't bother downloading from them? Most don't even upload either! It just sits content knowing it connected to something. It's crap.
chaosblade
Actually, It's designed to drop peers that dont upload anything within 5mins.I think there might be some issues with firewalls at all, as vurlix mentioned, they (unlike utorrent) dont follow the windows API like they should. So instead, v1.1.4 would have to conform to the bad way of doing things. Maybe thats your problem and in that case you should try again when that version is released. Either case, "It's Crap" will not get you help nor sympathy or will to help from anyone, especially not the dev team.

criscr0ss
there seems to be many problems with connecting to peers and seeds with this 1.13 i may need to switch back to 1.12 just to finish my downloads hopefully 1.14 will fix all these connection issues and implement DHT. The staff is doing the program for free and it's under heavy development, so it's obvious it can't be perfect. If you think the program is crap then don't use it, but don't insult the people who are giving their free time to develop this promising program.I hope your computer will get a virus so you won't go around the net writing your shit.
