I have opened port 45633 on my Bipac 7401 VGPM. (Utor, Always On, tcp, External Port 45633-45633, Redirected Port 45633-45633, IP Address 192.168.1.2) Yet when I go to Utorrent > Options > Speed Guide and hit Test if Port Is Forwarded Properly I always get get "Error". I have been through cmd/ipconfig and confirmed my settings.

I have Nod32 and have tried both with a red cross and clear beside Web Access Protection > Web Browsers and found Utorrent.

I have Outpost Pro 2009. The 'rules' say allow all tcp and udp connections, and another rule refers to my DNS server links.

I am unable to connect and when looking at the Utorrent user interface Availablity is red and DHT: 0 Nodes.

What have I done wrong?

GTHK, thanks for your reply. When I click on the rules for Utorrent in Outpost Pro they are:

Where the protocol is UDP and the remote port is 0-65535 Allow

Where the protocol is TCP and the remote port is 0-65535 Allow

The final rule concerns my UDP DNS settings for my ISP - Allow

No direction inbound or outbound are in these settings.

That looks like it is being allowed.

Edit a day later:

I am now trying Utorrent again and using Port 55555. I had to get back into my Billion 7401 VGP-M and adjust these settings below after forwarding the port via the Port Forward website.

Configuration

Firewall

General Settings

Enable

Medium.

press apply

Choose packet filter

Choose add TCP/UDP filter

In rule name type uTorrent

Leave all the IPs as 0.0.0.0 as that means anything

Source port 0-65535

Destination Port 55555 – 55555

Inbound allow

outbound allow

Apply, Save.

Then I could "Pass" the Port Forward test in Utorrent.

I have just had another look in my router settings and found that I could enable Logging of Events. I enabled Event Logging and tried to connect again with uTorrent and got this message:

Nov 12 08:58:43 home.gateway:firewall:info: 149492.156 Blocked Prot=6, 192.168.1.2:***** > 78.159.96.100:5600, S Seq=29300950, Ack=0 -Default Defense

What other settings do I need to adjust? (the ***** is where I substituted * for an address digit)

Is 78.156.96.100:5600 something to do with uTorrent?
