Downloading problems Please Help!!!

I just downloaded utorrent and every time i download from piratebay, instead of saving the file as a folder with contents it just shows the utorrent icon.???? i dont know why and i cant figure out how to fix this problem. And also when i click to ,download this torrent, utorrent doesnt prompt me with the window displaying the files contents. I went to the preference box and checked it. i have deleted utorrent and re downloaded it and nothing seems to help.. if you canhelp me i would really appriciate it.. Thank you

Trackers provide the .torrent file, not the data that you need to dwl with uT and the previous torrent.

Trackers are not free file hosters.

Under Ctrl-P > Directories you should see "always show dialog with contents.. or on the first pane, under General it should be there... to "show dialog with files" perhaps they were unchecked.

Thank you for your responses, but unfortunatly they did not help. I had the boxed checked. I compared every option preferences had to offer with a friends computer and they were exactly the same. my friend downloads from the same website and it works on his computer but does not on mine. It has to be a problem with UT. i just can not figure it out.

You may have software on your computer blocking uTorrent from operating correctly.

Software firewalls, antivirus programs, and file indexers are notorious for this!

Thanks for all the help and as I have time avaible I will go through this options and try to figure out was wrong... But i did try to play one of the files I downloaded and when it wet to my windows media player it said that the file was not formatted to run on my program. So I do not know what that means or anything so if some one could explain that part to me I would greatly apppericate it

Probably lacks a media codec...GOOGLE that, as we don't handle that.
