Grimpill.mage Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 I'm not entirely sure whether I should put this on speed issues or troubleshooting. I'm running a 512 kpbs connection using a UT-300r2u router that I got from my ISP. Now, the firmware on the router is a stripped-down version that doesn't have the Virtual server option (Yeah... >_>). However, I was still able to get my ports forwarded by setting a DMZ on my IP before. For some bizarre reason now, Utorrent displays *ANY* port I select as not forwarded. (and before anyone asks, I use a port above 60000, so it's not in use =])Subsequently, I'm getting the red dot that says my router/firewall might be blocking ports. Well, I put exceptions for both the port *AND* Utorrent in Windows Firewall...as well as even trying it after disabling Windows Firewall to see if that helps. No dice. Some help would be really appreciated, I'm getting speeds of 10KBps tops on my torrents now, when I used to get upwards of 60 before.Ah, and I know it's not a network problem because my speeds are just fine when I download via anything else.Thanks.
GTHK Posted November 13, 2008 Report Posted November 13, 2008 What result does https://www.grc.com/x/portprobe=55555 give? Do you/have you ever used Norton or ZoneAlarm?
