Confused even more "newbie" wants to increase speed

Trying to fix extremely slow download speed but, after reading related postings, I'm even more confused. (not torrent/downloading savvy)

Here is some info to hopefully help w/ correcting problem:

(for WindowsXP)

-speedtest = 340kb/s (download) 120kb/s (upload)

-transfer rate = 42.5kB/s

Here is info I copied from uTorrent "General" tab after file finally completed download:

Downloaded: 60.9MB

Time: 7h 28m

Download speed: (0.0kB/s, avg. 5.2kB/s)

Uploaded: 896kB/s

Upload speed: (0.0kB/s, avg. 33B/s)

Wasted: 1.25MB (3 hashfails)

Seeds: 0 of 13 connected (203 in swarm)

Peers: 0 of 252 connected (16 in swarm)

Share Ratio: 0.014

Status: seeding

Please make absolutely sure that PeerGuardian2 or Protowall is allowing utorrent.com in either of those programs. Those of you using ipfilter.dat should make sure the list does not include the website's IP. After making sure of this, re-run this test by refreshing the page (F5).

Not sure as to what any of this means or how to find out but maybe someone here does?
