Hello People,,

Thanks for this efficient Bittorrent client, am a loyal utorrent user since a long time time now. I just bought a new laptop with vista ultimate and using utorrent 1.8.1 with Kaspersky antivirus and sunbelt firewall.

Now i have read everything, i portforwarded easily on both router and firewall, i also fixed the slow internet browsing after reading your helpful guides so i disabled DHT so now i am fine with using the net alongside µtorrent.

The thing is , i am testing on Slackware linux distribution ( i have 4Mbps downstream and 512 Kbps upstream) but all there releases their trackers go offline and with DHT disabled i can't download there . So i tried Open Office, and waited 10 mins on average, but still i won't get to 400+ Kbps download speed .

So what i did is that i tried on Vuze ( azureus's site) to try most-downloaded content to check my speed, and the download speed went up so fast almost to 400 Kbps and when i checked the peers tab they were all using azureus and i got high speeds there i don't know why . I will REMAIN :) using µtorrent to the end but how come i get good speeds on vuze's site but on Slackware linux distribution and OpenOffice i can't get high speeds . I noticed about the peers in the swarm on vuze they were all using azureus .

So is there something i missed ?

All your help will be Appreciated . Thank you very much People :) .

I have DHT disabled but Peer exchange and local Peer Exchange are enabled i can browse the net while using µtorrent. So how can i fix this issue man (Y) ? I mean howcome i am getting good speeds there while the rest test Torrents i can't get high Download speeds in them ?

Thanks in advance .

I will be trying highly seeded torrents from large Bittorrent Site like Mininova and i'll give it 15 mins to see the average speed. Thanks again .

OK i have tried a well seeded torrent the seeders to leechers ratio is like almost 3 for like 30 minutes. My speeds are less than 30KB/s now .

This is from a well known Bittorrent indexing site Mininova.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in Advance (Y) .
