dorje
Seems my Utorrent is only allowing me to connect to peers with IP addresses in the 68. to 74. ranges. All other IPs seem to be blocked. This limits my connections to about 5 - 20 peers on even the most popular files.eg; only IPs in the 68.xxx.xxx.xxx - 74.xxx.xx.xx ranges are allowed to connect. My dl speeds are ok from those I do connect with but, this has obviously reduced my overall dl speed considerably.I'm using version 1.8.1. and I did not change any settings when I upgraded. I have been offline with Utorrent for a few months but I've never had this problem before. Thanks in advance for any advice you might have.Cheers
thelittlefire
How can you tell if they're blocked connections?? uT doesn't do any filtering unless you use ipfilter.dat http://utorrent.com/faq.php#What_is_ipfilter.dat.3F
dorje
Thanks for your replyYes, I am using the IP filter. [ ipfilter.enable = true ]I don't know if they are "blocked" per se but, I am not connecting to anyone outside that IP range
thelittlefire
I don't think http://slackware.com/torrents/ hosts servers in that range?? Have you tested the test torrents?
Switeck
Check your ipfilter.dat file...hopefully, it's short enough to find possible mistakes.
