Jimmybop Posted November 16, 2008 Report Posted November 16, 2008 I have a torrent that is 45gb, I don't have 45gb of space to free up, I am only downloading about 10gb of the torrent the rest is set to 'skip', I have about 25gb of free space.I have to baby sit utorrent because every few minutes it pauses the download and tells me that 'there is not enough space' can I stop it from checking on available space or set the torrent to a constant force start? or anything?because of this it never picks up steam, it just craps on my face....Thanks all
thelittlefire Posted November 17, 2008 Report Posted November 17, 2008 If it says you don't have enough space, find out why it says that??What is the exact error message reported in the status column.
Jimmybop Posted November 18, 2008 Author Report Posted November 18, 2008 "Error: there is not enough disk space"
Ultima Posted November 18, 2008 Report Posted November 18, 2008 Are you preallocating the files? diskio.use_partfile enabled?
Jimmybop Posted November 18, 2008 Author Report Posted November 18, 2008 I don't know I assume that is in advanced options?
thelittlefire Posted November 18, 2008 Report Posted November 18, 2008 Uhm... Not enough disk space causes an ERROR, not pause. If the files are set to skip uT doesn't download any of them. partfile is default ON. Ctrl-P > Advanced diskio.sparse_fles allows you to not use all space at once... partfile is above it.Pre-allocation is an option you'd know you set.. it's in the top panes of Preferences.
