RSS downloader, downloading things i dont want

HI guys,

im new so please be kind. I have just tried to setup the rss dler through the tutorial. now in the tutorial it says there should be a feeds tab (which there isnt) and a fav tab, which i have setup as best as i could using the tutorial.

Now the issue is that if i set the feeds to auto download with smart ep filter, it starts dling stuff i dont want it to? why? should i leave auto dl off, how then will my dls start? i dont want to manually start them, i want them to populate auto and start auto. can someone please help?

Set a start episode number. What tutorial are you referring to? http://utorrent.com/rsstutorial.php was updated for 1.8 a while ago.

reading that tutorial didnt help at all. setting start ep didnt help. if i set the feeds to auto download, which seems to be the only way to get anything at all to work and dl, it starts downloading eps of other shows that i dont have in favorites at all????

Do NOT use the auto-download filter on the RSS feeds if you're using manually created favorites.

so u need to use ? instead of using a space? should i have a * at the end or start and end or none?

Well "?" replaces a single character, and "*" can match any number of characters. When you do not use pre- and post-fixed asterix in the title that expects the title to match exactly.

As you see that tutorial also mentions this, but was written for an old version.
