green tea
I'm strongly curious if our other operations like working with the Internet Explorer, playing a movie on the Dvd-RAM drive or any other applications working simultaneously with the utorrent can induce erroneous alterations on the datas being transfered. Especially when a complication happens about the simultaneous ongoing application. For instance, seeing a sign saying ''An error occured while... , the program will be shut down. You may loose any unsaved information... '' Is it probable that the same faulty operation effected utorrent working along ? Has anyone got information or experience on these things ? Thank you. moogly
No.Bittorrent is a byte-exact protocol. If a downloaded piece has an hash fail, uT discards it and download it again. If you dwlded data are corrupted because the initial seeder has created its torrent about corrupted data OR you have an hardware issue (bad sectors on your device, RAM etc...).You just need to choose a port dedicated to uT. green tea
Thank you for the message, it is crucial for me to have flawless transfers that's why I wanted to know what I should not do or avoid during downloadings. Your answer was a great relief.
thelittlefire
http://dessent.net/btfaq/#what among other things Press F1 in the uTorrent window to open the user manual. It describes many things but tends to focus on utorrent-centric ideas.
