spork985 Posted November 24, 2008 Report Posted November 24, 2008 It would be really cool if the WebUI had like a dumbed down version or something that would run on the PSP. Right now, it displays a partial gui then goes to Loading... and just sits there.Just a suggestion- spork
Ultima Posted November 24, 2008 Report Posted November 24, 2008 http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=47167The only problem here is that I've never tested it on a PSP, so I don't know how/whether it'll work. If the PSP doesn't support XHR, it won't work. My guess is that it doesn't, in which case you might just be out of luck. I mean, I could always try to reimplement iframe loading (it's how I started MiniUI off, before transitioning to XHR), but I'm not even sure that'll work either.Edit: A bit of googling seems to indicate that older versions of NetFront (that is the PSP browser, right?) didn't support AJAX. Wikipedia says that the latest version does support AJAX though. I guess the testing would be up to you! (I don't have a PSP to test it on) If it doesn't work, then Flash may be the way to go for PSP.
spork985 Posted November 24, 2008 Author Report Posted November 24, 2008 It just displays a blank screen and the browser's loading icon never goes away. It works fine on my computer though.I tested it on the latest PSP firmware (5.02) with all options turned on (javascript, flash, images, animations). Also, yes, it calls itself NetFront.
Ultima Posted November 24, 2008 Report Posted November 24, 2008 I guess the latest NetFront doesn't necessarily go into the latest PSP firmware either. Oh well, so much for that. iframe or Flash would be the only ways to get it working on PSP, I guess.Edit: From what I've read, PSP's browser doesn't support DOM operations, or DHTML (which I use). Flash is definitely the only way to go here.
