@Shift.rus: uT is a closed-source freeware and without SDK, there is no possibility of plugins like Azureus, Deluge or Firefox.

In addition a chat system has been requested many times and always refused and will never implemented.

Use the feature forum and use search funtion. :)

That new utp thingy isnt good for streaming videos with VLC and using utorrent at the same time anymore. Even at lower speed I get pixel loss (colored squares).

I have 20/20Fiber and used to limit my internet to like 18/18 and it worked fine for IPTV streaming. But with this new utp thingy its not good not even at lower speeds.

Shift.rus:

what is ...And how to use it

looks like implementation of #2 in my 'todo list' :) here - http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?pid=352646#p352646.

It's enabled in RSS downloads that have the torrent source URL attached in them. I think there is a typo in the change log - not mentioning RSS in this feature. looks like they are progressing nicely in this todo list ... ;)

edit:

maybe uT can reflect that fact of DL being a result of an RSS feed-link/url by special icons - such as the completed, paused, downloading, uploading - all marked with some orange/white arc at one of the corners.

Even if you limit uTP down to 5kB/s? It seems unlikely that would have any effect on streaming at all. Let me know where the real threshold seems to be. Also, please run the logging build (13911) and send me the log files.

A note to the new icons re-appeared in the RSS release list - I would add another one - reflecting the release as a "favorite" (one of the filter's results). It used to be in the RSS down-loader which we 'borrowed' the icons from... ( I forget it's name... :) )

Hi there,

just a short feedback according to version 13910.

- uTP is working fine - I get higher uploadspeeds to others using uTP. Normal uploads are a bit slower.

- Only one crash during my test. I have about 30-40 torrents running (average).

- The version is running on a linux root (wine-hacks enabled).

So far so good.

[offtopic]

I am still missing the UDP Tracker feature (yes, I know - no interest about this here). But I was wondering that its possible to add a complete own UDP framework (uTP) but not the UDP Tracker feature which is now used by Vuze,

XBT Client, KTorrent, XBBT, BitComet, Turbo Torrent, BitRocket, BitLord, BitSpirit, Libtorrent and FlashGet

(see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UDP_tracker ) but not uTorrent? So its ok to shorten the traffic for the clients but not for the tracker? I am confused.

Also, the announcement says:

"What is not in 1.9: UDP tracker"

Great - so we will never see this feature, right?

No you're not right. Just because something doesn't happen instantly doesn't mean it's never going to happen. (What point are you trying to prove by twisting it that way?)

But let's humor the thought for a moment: if indeed Olaf never gets around to fixing the spec, then why would it matter if µTorrent doesn't support a badly-designed spec?

Wont be able to check for streaming errors before tomorrow night when I'm at the other computer and can see the errors also. No I wouldnt say there are still any at such a low speed as 5kB/s.

Another thing Is I'm now testing with only UTP connections and its really hard to max my upload so hashing another big torrent now to check if I can reach my max.

But when the client is set to "5" I have no problem to maxout my upload.

EDIT: No I def can not rach good upload speeds with only UTP. with 300+ leechers.

EDIT: I also noticed that I can connect to more peers in 1.9.x then 1.8.1 on same torrent.

I'm aware that the latest built fixed the problem of the download byte counter. But currently my utorrent's stats says I downloaded 6887GB, while my uploaded data is only 47GB. Well... My ratio is only 0.006. Currently I have to upload at high speed (>40kB/s) in order to achieve a descent downloading speed.

So... Cannot be resolved? I need to upload 6TB of data? lols
