sindilevich
+1It would be really nice to select destination of each file in the .torrent separatelly, in addition to choosing a destination for the whole .torrent content. See Azureus as the example.
thelittlefire
I think reading from multiple locations for a torrent is understandable. However to be able to save multiple sources on-add... overkill.
bothaus
So my default download folder is ~/Movies and uT uses this when downloading. Then moves the file to ~/Downloads when finished and seeding? Yes. This feature sucks. Just leave my file where I have directed in the prefs to do so. Simple. I don't need to be asked a second time with a dialog.
mefi
What about labeling the file, and being able to chose to automatically save the file that you might have labeled movies in ~/movies, and one labeled music in another folder.. you see what I mean? mwt
+1 for prompting to save in different location like in the windows version, thx again.
KarntheBetrayer
I'm pretty sure you can do this in the menu.
MacNike
KarntheBetrayer:There's no option for this.I've switched from Azureus (Vuze?) to uTorrent the first beta. This is the one thing i've truly been disappointed about, i'm sure this will become the most popular client for torrents. Please include this feature ASAP, or at least comment the progress here! safusu
I'll have to +1 this, having the option to have multiple torrent files in different locations is a big plus for me
jackofhearts
I would like to second this request. It was great with the Windows client to have a dialogue come up each time I added a torrent file that would 1. Let me choose which files to download and 2. Let me choose where to save them. blackhawk
actually this is the only feature holding me back from using utorrent completely,i seed about 100 torrents and at sometimes i download about 10 torrent at one time,i can't just mix the music with the movies with every thing else in just one folder this would be a messso i totally agree with this suggestion and i am really waiting for it like mad, because i want my current client it is no cool at allthe staff say it would be done in the next version so anyone have any idea when will this happen i mean a certain time?thanks for bringing us such a great torrent client utorrent was my best when i was using windows os and i wish to have a version that is the same as the windows versionthanks again for the hard work
jbeaman
I'm with blackhawk on this on. This is the only thing holding me back from switching. I'm super excited, though. Thanks for all the great work, guys!
ergemannen
+1I agree with the three posts above. It's just way to messy to have all my torrent downloads in one big folder.
ccfman2004
+1So do I.When I use windows, I use uTorrent, but for Mac I'll keep using Vuze(Azureus) until this gets added. It really is probably the only thing keeping me from switching to uTorrent for the Mac. bugmenot2
So we are one year further, isn't this an easy feature to implement (requirements: one standard cocoa directory selectboxx)? There's so many people requesting this.
thatoneguy27
+1 too, hard drive isn't getting any bigger and running out of room. unless i'm misunderstanding all this, i'd also like to be able to set a save and download location so it automatically would go to my external hard drives. section31
This is getting pretty ridiculous. It's been over a year with numerous requests for this feature and utorrent has not delivered.

grouchy
Yah, we need the following features from the Win version:1) Prompt for download folder for each torrent; and2) Pick and choose which files to download from multi-file torrent. These are crucial. kindofpretty
We need (desperately): 1) Prompt for download folder for each torrent; and2) Pick and choose which files to download from multi-file torrent.3) The ability to rename torrent files while retaining the ability to seed (a feature of Vuze which makes having a Plex library that is still seeding possible)Then, and only then will I make the permanent jump to uTorrent. Right now it is useless without it. How can you organize your downloaded files logically without the ability to save to separate folders and move the data between them. alyshlynn
+1ask which directory/folder the data should be saved to every time a torrent is added, also to be able to rightclick and move those file in case they are initially saved to the wrong folder.
