prexie
HeyI have a problem to getting it work. I've added the extra IP addresses to my network card, and inside utorrent, I have net_outgoing_ip to (1, 2 e.g.) and I tried to write the specific IP address without success. I then tried to have the specific IP address in net_bind_ip, and then I suddenly not was connectable anymore, but I still have the same ip address.I am running with 2 different users. Someone there have suggestions for what the fault could be?And I am using windows server 2003
thelittlefire
Wrong forum. Read the user manual (F1) to learn about these features. You only need to use bind_ip and outgoing_ip when you have TWO nic, and only wish to use 1, so uT can get consistent speed/run multiple uT.Search better. prexie
I know, but the problem is it does not work. Read my post again.I have tried some guides, but it won't work.
thelittlefire
The IP you have and set there is affected by what uTorrent sends out. You have how many NICs?If you clear those Advanced options, what happens?
prexie
I have 4 NICs.I have tried to clear advanced and remove all ip from NIC, but it is still the same ip.
DreadWingKnight
The problem is that windows' tcp stack has a tendancy to ignore such bindings.Additionally, if it did work, you would need to set BOTH IP addresses to be connectable. prexie
Net_outgoing_ip 87.xx.xxx.xxNet_bind_ip 87.xx.xxx.xx right? But how can i get the ip connectable? When i use utorrents test it's shows the "original" ip.
DreadWingKnight
Are you behind a router on this system? The test comes from the browser, so you need to bind its outgoing connections as well.
prexie
I am not behind a router.bind its outgoing connections with my browser or utorrent? for net_outgoing_ip is 87.xx.xxx.xx
DreadWingKnight
in order to test the listen port with uT bound to an IP address, your browser must be bound to that IP address as well.
prexie
Okay, how? I am using Firefox.Net_outgoing_port needs to be set also or is it unimportant?
DreadWingKnight
Both net.bind_ip and net.outgoing_ip in uT need to be set.I have never needed to bind a browser to an IP, but you would need to set its bindings as well.

thelittlefire
(No help, but a suggestion) Have you tried disabling the additional interfaces to mimic binding to a specific interface for your testing?
prexie
No, but how will I do that?
thelittlefire
Go to Network Connections, right click on an interface, Disable. Do this for all NICs you aren't testing. Even if not specified it should force traffic to be as you want. . .How to verify the connections for uT are correct you may need to test externally (beyond the LAN, at least not on localhost--the same computer) but it's another idea at least. prexie
You mean that I should disable my network card?, but is it not possible, because the dedicated server is in France.
