nesfyl Posted November 27, 2008 Report Posted November 27, 2008 I've been using utorrent on a XP machine for a long time, but recently switched to a mac - it's great to see this favourite of mine on the platform - i have discovered though that when you right-click on an existing download, the 'remove all' feature does not do anything. Clicking an 'remove data' indeed removes that data (and the entry on the utorrent list), but the torrent file of course remains and the actual data do not go to the trashcan but disappear altogether. Please can someone confirm thisSpec: iMac 2.66 MHz, 2 GB RAMOs X 10.5.5
JOOOST Posted November 27, 2008 Report Posted November 27, 2008 I have "Move each torrent file to trash after opening" turned on, but I doesnt work, the torrent files remain in my downloads folder, they just get renamed. to .torrent.importedPlease fix this.
kjk Posted November 27, 2008 Report Posted November 27, 2008 Those are two separate issues.nefyl: I couldn't reproduce 'remove all' issue. In my case it does remove data and removes torrent from list.Removing data does indeed just deletes it, without moving to trash. This is something we'll probably change (so that the data goes to trash).JOOST: did you enabled 'Automatically open torrent files found in:' option in Downloads preferences and set it to 'Downloads' folder?Torrent files get renamed to '.imported' when this option is turned on and the torrent is automatically imported from that folder.
nesfyl Posted December 2, 2008 Author Report Posted December 2, 2008 Thanks - indeed I can't reproduce the 'remove all' issue, but the moving first to trash needs urgent attention. Thanks again for the swift reply
Gawd L Pus Posted December 5, 2008 Report Posted December 5, 2008 When clicking "Remove all files", the torrent is only removed from the uTorrent pane, but remains in the selected download folder.
thelittlefire Posted December 5, 2008 Report Posted December 5, 2008 Sorry what? The torrent uT uses is in App. Support. If you don't want "duplicate" copies of torrents on your hard disk check Preferences > Downloads > Move each torrent file to trash after openingFor some keybindings for the various removal options, please read http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?pid=378826#p378826
Gawd L Pus Posted December 5, 2008 Report Posted December 5, 2008 Indeed! Should have figured this one out on my own. Sorry for pushing my luck here, but if I could only get the torrent to display the uT logo when associating it and the seed ratio to stop as set, I´d be a happy man.
thelittlefire Posted December 5, 2008 Report Posted December 5, 2008 Lol, associate with uT "should" work now on .90.1, but it's not 100% yetSeed ratio.. is set on add. If you can/have access to windows through VM/WINE you can use http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=31306 you will want to change "wanted_ratio" from the default set when you added the torrent to your current preference. Resume.dat should be modified with uT closed, and can be found in ~/Library/Application Support/uTorrent wanted_ratio is in % so 1.5 ratio is listed as 1500
Gawd L Pus Posted December 5, 2008 Report Posted December 5, 2008 Thanks for your help. No VM/Wine here, but will test the seeding ratio on .90.01.
thelittlefire Posted December 5, 2008 Report Posted December 5, 2008 This should be simple to do once the GUI is in place for modifying the torrent properties
