dansorin
Hello, I'm a long user of Bitcomet and I wanted to try uTorrent. but I get a confusing statistic reporting.I downloaded just some subtitles-files from a bigger torrent. in total I would say they were about 1MB. before actually downloading something I deselected all files and selected just what I needed. the download completed in notime, but after some minutes I saw at "downloaded" saying 30.6MB! and I uploaded to some peers something like 10MB, or even 28MB. the screenshots are made some time after that. is something wrong?beside that, I really miss a time report per session, like Bitcomet has.http://i459.photobucket.com/albums/qq311/dansorin_photo/utorrent1.jpghttp://i459.photobucket.com/albums/qq311/dansorin_photo/utorrent2.jpghttp://i459.photobucket.com/albums/qq311/dansorin_photo/utorrent3.jpg
Ultima
"Total Size: 36.0 MB" indicates to me that you've selected more than just 1MB.http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?pid=262290#p262290As well, understand that edge pieces are an inherent part of any BitTorrent client. dansorin
no, I did not select more than 1MB, you can see the file size for some subtitle-files. they are not even 1MB in total. I read your post in the other topic. unlike that situation I did not have downloaded the torrent previously, it was the first time. ok, I think I got the edge pieces theory, but in Bitcomet (can I say it?...) I never saw such reporting statistics.
Ultima
You're downloading at least 7 full pieces because they are shared edge pieces. Each piece is 4MB. That means you need to download at least 28MB to get the files you need. That BitComet failed to report that doesn't necessarily mean it wasn't happening.Am I correct in guessing that you've selected 2 other files that aren't seen in your screenshots?
