koberulz
I just bought a new computer, running Windows Vista. My old computer, running XP, worked fine. I've got uTorrent set to the exact same settings and the exact same port, but it's saying the port is not properly forwarded. What could be the problem? DreadWingKnight
Are you behind a router?Routers CAN'T forward the same port to two different machines at the same time.
koberulz
The old computer's been completely unplugged.
DreadWingKnight
That doesn't answer my question.Additionally, your troubleshooting information is severely lacking.
koberulz
If the computer's unplugged, surely the router wouldn't be trying to open a port to it?I have an iConnect 625W router. It's plugged into the computer with an ethernet cable, which is the same ethernet cable I had plugged into the previous computer. The only thing that's different is the computer and the OS. All the cables, routers, etc. are identical.
DreadWingKnight
Including the settings in the router and the ip address of your computer?
koberulz
I redid the static IP, nothing in the router's changed.

thelittlefire
You're sure that's it?? Why haven't you posted a HiJackThis log so someone can tell you if you missed something. Some browser toolbars include built-in software, including firewalls, most notably Yahoo.
