speed issue

hi plz help me regarding this issue though i have read the sticky but still dont know what to do (

i m using a 512 kbps connection and the green indication mark is also there however the downloading speed is only 45 to 50 kbps and the torrent has 53 seeders and 31 peers..

is this a normal speed or it should go up... plz help...

You probably don't really have a 512 kilobit/second upload connection...and most of uTorrent's settings are based on your upload bandwidth max.

Download/upload speeds for files are in KiloBYTES/second. It takes about 8-10 kilobits/second of download bandwidth for every 1 KiloBYTE/second of download speed... so 512 kilobit/second download is only capable of a theoretical max of 64 KiloBYTES/second -- and even if you're only reaching 45-50 KiloBYTES/second in uTorrent you're probably getting all the download speed your ISP allows.
