low download speed

hi to all! (this is my first post)

I installed the application on two computers (an imac g5 and an intel macmini) and I have the same problem on both machines: the maximum download speed is 30 Kb/s (of course the setting for the download speed is 'unlimited')

any hint to solve this problem?

What is your connection speed?

What is your upload speed and cap?

First of all, utorrent is not yet fully supported on a powerPC based system atm but that shouldn't limit you.

Have you gone through the "basics" such as port forwarding ect...?

If not check out the utorrent guides, they are pretty useful and most of the stuff can be applied to the mac version anyway.

I solved choosing 'automatic' for the upload speed. doing so I can download at the maximum speed. If I select a different speed automatically the maximum download speed turns to 30 kbs (even if in the selection is checked unlimited).

Does the limit in Preferences > Bandwidth say 5 greyed out?

i have the same problem. macbook pro 15 inch, unlimited, ports forwarded. no firewall. bandwidth set to maximum. not a problem on my PC, but download on mac limited to 30k, spread amongst torrents if i am downloading multiple, ie if 2, 15k each
