Vegito
Hi guys,I downloaded Utorrent about 3 days ago and I still do not have a green tick for Utorrent instead I've got a yello triangle saying I have a firewall blocking it or somthing like that. I've tried everything I can that I have found on this forum but nothing seems to be working.I use a Belkin G_Plus_Mimo Router with a DSL connection for my laptop. My laptop runs Windows Vista Home Premium 32 Bit.Any help is appreciated. Thanks,Vegito
Switeck
Go to www.portforward.com ROUTERS section and see if your router and modem are on the list.If so, follow their guides for how to configure both for use with uTorrent.Your Belkin router may be unable to handle the regular levels of connections that uTorrent can generate, so you may be forced to disable DHT, LPD, and Resolve IPs...AND reduce per-torrent and global max connections to 100 or less. A higher than the default of 8 on net.max_halfopen may be too much as well. 2nd link in my signature for uTorrent settings based on your max UPLOAD.
