this error appeared this morning on certain trackers, as far as i can tell on public trackers only.

I seem to be downloading normally then again I only been using Utorrent (1.8.1) for 3 weeks so.

-- ISP

this is a tricky setup, I am on a LAN that connects me to the net, due to laws in my country 2 ISPs are used to connect me to the net for upload ISP is called IDM (inconnet Data Management) im pretty sure they aren't the cause. For my downloads and that has been changed recently (not sure when) they are called MATRIXCOM-TINET (or thats what IP2location says, i think they are the cause).

-- Connection speed (in kilobits per second [kbps])

256 kb down 32 kb up (yes 32KB down and 4 KB up)

-- Router make and model, firmware version if you can find it

Linksys Router WRT54GS Originally 5.1 but that was patched to give me access to said LAN.

-- TCP/IP patch - yes/no, if yes, patched to how many half-open

Yes 50, i think i applied the patch last week but after several virus alerts im not sure whats the status now.

-- Software firewalls, if any - these cause plenty of problems

WindowsXP firewall, I also use PG2

-- Antivirus software

AVG free Version

-- µTorrent settings.

not to doubt you but are you sure? no one at the site were i got the torrent from ever seen that error.

before posting here and other forums (related to the tracker in question) i did some searching.

one discussion i saw said it was related to PG.

an other discussion I read said that error has something to do with overloaded server.

anyways thanks for your reply, ill keep an eye on this thread incase some1 has more insight on this matter.

i think so, they say no proxy but when when i check my ip on the site IP2location it returns this:

IP Address : XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX

Location : UNITED KINGDOM,

Latitude / Longitude : 54.15 LATITUDE, -4.473 LONGITUDE

Connecting through : MATRIXCOM-TINET

Time Zone : UTC +00:00

IDD Code : 44

Weather Station : UKXX0233 - ESKMEALS

You're using proxy server in

Proxy IP Address : XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX

Location : UNITED KINGDOM,

Latitude / Longitude : 54.15 LATITUDE, -4.473 LONGITUDE

Connecting through : MATRIXCOM-TINET

Time Zone : UTC +00:00

IDD Code : 44

Weather Station : UKXX0233 - ESKMEALS

your question confirms my doubts about my ISP messing around with my connectivity.
