ywc
I used to have ZoneAlarm installed but since I reinstalled XP and put in Kaspersky and installed utorrent and followed all the setup instructions, my connection was much better. However, until recently, I always found that for connections that allowed DHT and had several peers, I always ended up regularly unbanning the peers. Otherwise the download speed would dip. What is the reason for this and how do I solve it? I never touched any of the other settings, so why should it be like this?I have an XP Home and a Linksys WAG200 router. Thanks.
thelittlefire
Peers are only banned for sending bad data.Checking the Logger tab, do you see continual piece failed hashcheck messages? Even with http://slackware.com/torrents/ ?? In that case your setup is broken, possibly due to some hardware-induced or ISP induced interference. ywc
I rarely get failed hashcheck messages. Does that imply it is my ISP causing it? Is there no solution? How come it doesn't affect those connections without DHTs?
