1 seed, 1 peer, trackerless, Disconnect: Connection closed

Hello.

I have a seedbox, running utorrent 1.8.1 under ubuntu/wine. I have created trackerless torrent to download some content from seedbox via bittorrent. So, the seedbox (SB) is the seed and my home PC (PC) is the leecher. At home I have utorrent 1.8.1 under windows xp sp3.

There's no problems for both peers to find each other, but the problem begins when the transfer starts. Shortly after PC begins DLing torrent, it says Disconnect: Connection closed in log and transfer stops. This happens every minute or two. Check out seconds in the following log:

So it always disconnects. This is happening for a while, and after some ten minutes finally goes stable. There's more detailed log coming:

Even in the continuation of your log, disconnects continue on the 23rd or 24th second of a minute:

(1st 2 don't but they may be caused by other reasons.)

In looking at the handshake times, I cannot assume it's because the seedbox has sent 1 MB of data and disconnects automatically...because the finish times would still be different.

Do a check for something on both your seed box and home PC for ANYTHING that might be creating big traffic bursts at the 20-24th second mark of each minute.

Yes Switeck, I did notice this deadly 23-24 seconds. The more strange thing is that after stopping and starting the torrent at home PC, it is still happens at this 23-24 seconds mark. Actually second part of log was captured after restarting the transfer. So I'm thinking that this is more likely seedbox problem, than my home utorrent.

Unfortunately, I got no access to seedbox log or whatever else, but just a web ui.

The speed is pretty the same all the time, no burst at all...

Probably I have to contact seedbox admin to resolve this issue.

Edit:

This appears to be a bug in the currently installed version of wine. This should be resolved by installing the latest version of wine, actually 1.1.6 or later. I will update this post after upgrading.

Meanwhile I've found a workaround by manually specifying a speed limit for torrent. It solves a problem for this 1-1 p2p case and partially solves a problem with disconnecting peers (not mentioned in this thread, but I also have the one). Yes, I have upgraded wine to 1.1.10 and this behavior went away.
