Soundmann
Was using Utorrent one day, next day I go to launch it and it crashed with "Utorrent has crashed. Unable to generate crash dump." So I uninstalled it and cleaned registry of any signs of it and tried reinstalling to no avail. Gets to setup, I click install and it immediately crashes. Now it produces a crash dump, not that it helps. Here's the perplexing part though, I logged on to the computers Admin account and downloaded and installed utorrent no problems. Runs like a charm. It somehow is leading me to believe theres some file I overlooked in deleting in my user account files/folders somewhere? Anyone with any suggestions?Heres HijackThis.Logfile of Trend Micro HijackThis v2.0.2Scan saved at 7:17:17 PM, on 12/3/2008Platform: Windows Vista SP1 (WinNT 6.00.1905)MSIE: Internet Explorer v7.00 (7.00.6001.18000)Boot mode: NormalRunning processes:C:\Windows\system32\taskeng.exeC:\Windows\system32\Dwm.exeC:\Windows\Explorer.EXEC:\Program Files\Windows Defender\MSASCui.exeC:\Windows\RtHDVCpl.exeC:\Windows\WindowsMobile\wmdc.exeC:\Program Files\Saitek\SD6\Software\ProfilerU.exeC:\Program Files\Saitek\SD6\Software\SaiMfd.exeC:\Windows\System32\rundll32.exeC:\Windows\ehome\ehtray.exeC:\Program Files\DAEMON Tools Lite\daemon.exeC:\Windows\system32\wbem\unsecapp.exeC:\Windows\ehome\ehmsas.exeC:\Windows\System32\mobsync.exeC:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\wmplayer.exeC:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exeC:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\WINWORD.EXEC:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exeC:\Program Files\BitLord\BitLord.exeC:\Windows\explorer.exeC:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis\HijackThis.exeC:\Windows\system32\DllHost.exeR1 - Ultima
Heh, parental control filters have never had a good effect on µTorrent before.
Soundmann
Actually I have them shut off, so perhaps that's why they show up as such. But they've always been like that so thats not it. Either way, i did some more fiddling and tried deleting some .old files from the roaming folder in my user folders. It installed fine and is working now. Though i can't add the torrents i had on there before or it crashes again. Weird i say.
