jollygamer321
I have utorrent set to "turn off" in the scheduler in the morning, but my computer wont go to sleep after that. Even if I have all the torrents stopped, my computer wont go to sleep with utorrent open (well, minimized, but running). I'm not sure why. I think It might be because even with all torrents stopped it still i downloading a tinny bit? Any ideas on how to get vista to sleep when scheduler goes to off? I know I could set a task, but I rather it do it automatically. One idea I had was setting up utorrent to run as a service. Don't know if that would help. Thanks. thelittlefire
No torrents running, or no torrents downloading? There is a difference in opinion of what "active" means :/Do you have "prevent standby" enabled in Preferences?
jollygamer321
I have prevent standby enabled, but I think I tested it with it off also. When the scheduler goes to off, it setts my torrents to queued seed and no torrents are listed as active, so I wouldn't think this would matter. Also, I tried manual stopping all of the torrents and it still wouldn't sleep.
thelittlefire
Please test these different scenarios with prevent standby disabled... You can "force" now, by changing your scheduler to "off" in the current hour-block.Be sure you're not testing hibernate, as it will take a minute to both buffer to disk and resume-to-RAM
zopfan
It happened with me also. Earlier my PC will go into sleep mode without any problem when no torrent was active (UTorrent running or not, won't matter). But once I enabled "Prevent Standby.." in Preferences>General, it stopped going into sleep mode. Then, even when I deselected this option, my system didn't go into standby unless I rebooted my PC.So, try rebooting after deselecting this option. jollygamer321
Well, after doing some testing, I'm not sure if utorrent is the culprit at all. I thought I figured it out, but not I'm not so sure. I get back when I finish figuring it out...
