seeds shown on utorrent but not the sight i found the file on

im downloading a file and it show 0(1) under seeds but when i checked the sight it says there are no seeds which one is right if either

Well 0(1) means there are 1 seeds listed in the cache or scrape data from the tracker but you are not connected to it.

i understand that part im just wondering why the sight i found the file on tells me theres no seeds to connect to but utorrent tells me there is

Would the explanation that sites have out-of-date scrape/announce information suit you

sure so long as its a reason that makes sense i just wanted to know if one of them was wrong i was assuming the sight but i figured id see if there was a different reason

Depending on the size of the site, they may update torrent pages every 6, 12 or 24 hours. The only "true" account of active peers on a torrent is starting it up and actively trying to find peers. Scrapes on the tracker when starting the torrent are next-best to accurate, though in the meantime additional peers may have joined or left. sometimes i connect to the one seed for less than a second is there anything i can do to get it to stay connected, and the trackers page says there are no seeds is that just because im not connected to it
