thelittlefire
Where are you saving? Check the General tab, Save As. Does the path exist?
puffdaddy
Where in the menu options do I find the General tab. I am using uTorrent 1.8.1 ?
thelittlefire
Not the menu. Click a torrent, look at the Details pane, it's the bottom portion of the UI, if you don't see it, Press F5 or View > Details through the menu. This error is common 1) when the path exceeds Windows path limit ( http://utorrent.com/faq.php ) and 2) when drive letters change, for instance when adding removable drives
puffdaddy
You are right. It's refering to drive G:\ my removable disk. How do I change this to drive C:\ ?
thelittlefire
Well you can remove and re-add the torrent... you can re-assign the drive letter in start > run > compmgmt.msc .. you can re-path it to the CURRENT data location in uT by right click, advanced, set download location, or you can change the data location in resume.dat (only really necessary with large numbers of torrents due to mouse/finger fatigue http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=31306 )

Switeck
Unknown (Quite likely commercial) software is blocking uTorrent from accessing that file/s.1st link in my signature.
