gadzooks64
I've woken up to a rebooted machine after leaving utorrent running overnight the last couple of nights.I get the old "Windows has recovered from an unexpected shutdown" but everything restarts fine. When I start utorrent the active torrents are checked before the downloading begins again.Any suggestions? thelittlefire
Fix the problem causing computer instability. If you go to System Properties, and hardware it should be an option to disable automatic restart... when you get the BSOD you can know where to go from there.Know though usually incompatible software or bad drivers are usually at fault. What do you use for AV/Firewall/security software? How do you connect to the internet? Are there updated drivers from Windows Update or the motherboard manufacturer or the NIC mfg? gadzooks64
I've been running utorrent for a couple years now and this is the first time I've had an issue. All my drivers and hardware are up to date.I use CA for anti-virus and anti-spyware. I use the Windows Firewall in addition to the firewall built into my router.
thelittlefire
hmmmm, then you just have to wait for it to happen again without "automatic restart" turned on so you can copy the BSOD message and referenced file :/
