reactor903
I have been having very weird bug lately everytime i start up utorrent, and wait like 30 min..my internet will cut off...i could be on all day with no break in service than bam as soon as I bot up utorrent and 30 min later i lose all connectivity. I have a sneaking suspicion Comcast is doing something, but all i do is unplug the modem and plug it back in and im back in business..i really think i have narrowed it down to utorrent being the problem..any thoughts? moogly
Distributed Hash Table for trackerless method. Very useful on public trackers.Torrent files are typically published on websites or elsewhere, and registered with a tracker. The tracker maintains lists of the clients currently participating in the torrent.[4] Alternatively, in a trackerless system (decentralized tracking) every peer acts as a tracker. This is implemented by the BitTorrent, µTorrent, rTorrent, KTorrent, BitComet, and Deluge clients through the distributed hash table (DHT) method. thelittlefire
Why haven't they caused problems, maybe because you weren't torrenting alot? The point is when you setup uT for your connection http://utorrent.com/setup_guide.php you will be able to just let it GO without intervention. At your old settings you weren't sharing... which is good for people who like to shape traffic but bad for you in the swarm. Peak queue settings, 63 * 14 = 882 and that's < 1/8 KiBps, NOT GOOD. Minimum per slot number is 1 for basic negotiation/flow control, and to get "better" speeds it should be as high as 3. Aside from the fact your upload was previously set too high for your connection which would also intermittently block out all traffic making you appear offline to OTHER upload traffic.Yes, here's hoping it fixes itself... also Ctrl-P > Advanced , press RESET when highlighting all values with * which you don't know what they mean. It will help
