changed dir to external hard drive... now slow!

I changed my directory path to a new external hard drive and when i use to dl at almost 400kb/s im lucky to get 10. whats going on?

WHERE you save shouldn't matter, however, generally with the random read/write nature of torrents it would be better to DOWNLOAD internally and then MOVE when completed to the external, where uT will continue to seed from it.

Have you checked if http://slackware.com/torrents/ are affected??
