uTorrent causes me to drop my connection temporarily.... ideas?

Hi there,

This is a problem that has plagued me on and off, but more recently, at least within the last couple of updates.

When I'm downloading a torrent, my internet connection sometimes fails me, leading to network timeouts and whatnot. Websites stop loading, MSN disconnects, etc.

I connect wirelessly to an ADSL modem/router. I do not have this problem with my connection while not using utorrent.

If you look at my speed graph, you can see these sudden drop-offs. I do not need to restart my connection or anything, it just comes back after a bit.

You have .5 Mbit upload?? What are your Ctrl-G settings?

FYI - I'm trying 1.9 beta, and the problem has stopped. If I go back to 1.8.1 - problem comes back.

All my settings are adjusted as per various guides and correspond to the tips in the links Switeck provided.

Anyways, thanks for your help. If the problems comes back with 1.9 stable I'll start changing settings one by one to see if I can pin it down in case its a traceable bug.
