Ghost21
Will the settings now be kept between beta and stable versions? i.e. no reverting to defaults (on new settings) when changing from stable to beta?
1c3d0g
There's no guarantee on that, AFAICT. If Ludde changes a few things that were default before, stuff will be reset, there's no way around that. :|
Ghost21
I mean that will the stable400 ignore settings that were in the new betas or will it overwrite the file and reset the settings of new options in betas?I'm referring to this thread btw: http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=4335
dAbReAkA
it will ignore the settings it doesn't recognise and will overwrite the file with the settings (except for the one it doesn't recognise).. so some settings might be missing when u run the beta afterwards.. Ghost21
I don't quite get what you mean. Sorry. If additional settings are ignored, and current settings are saved, how can some settings be missing?Shouldn't it be like current settings b/w beta and stable will be the same, and additional settings introduced in beta will be ignored by stable and wouldn't be affected when beta is run afterwards? Firon
Your settings will get kept if you switch between 1.4 stable and the betas.
