[UNIX]PARADOX
If everybody at least set their upload speed to 20kb/s torrents would be fast. Im checking this gta iv torrent and im getting around 40-60 kb/s for my dl speed thats average. The peek was 122. I look on the peers tab and i only see about 5-7 peers uploading interesting indeed how torrents work. Utorrent 2nd to none. but with 1 peer uping at 6.2 one uping at 4.0 one uping at 2.7 other at 2.1 and one at 1.7 how could i get my speed as of right now 62.7kb/s interesting. Do these people strive off of dialup. My 10mbit internet connection can upload at 100kb/s and sometimes download up to 1300kb/s and its only suppose to dl at 1000kb/s in otherwords 1mbit. I left this torrent on from 7:00am and got home at 3:30pm i had dled 1.40gb thats sad considering i have to get 13.8Conclusion of the bs above : What hell internet connections are people running on and maybe utorrent should have a minimum upload of 20kb/s ; no lower than 20 when you see the number of seeds a torrent has it should have that number of people uploading(active seeds)(torrent said there was 14 online) right now i see six. its funny because maybe 3 more people will start uploading like 2.6kb/s or 3.6kb/s but they will start decreasing in speed and eventually disappear from the list. Switeck
Assume people are running 3 torrents at once with 4 upload slots each...That means to reach 20 KB/sec to YOU and whoever else they're uploading to, they'd need an internet connection with a total USABLE upload speed of 240 KiloBYTES/second. That's 2 megabit/second upload bandwidth. Most people have less than half that. You're confusing download/upload speeds of BYTES for bandwidth which are bits.10 megabit/second down is only about 1000-1200 KiloBYTES/second usable download -- if you ever hit 1300 KiloBYTES/second down for more than a second, you're probably getting more than you're paying for. Many other people aren't.How fast are you uploading to other peers? Individually.
[UNIX]PARADOX
typically when i run torrents i do one at a time would do and when i upload i don't know how much goes actually goes to each individual person but if i do an all nighter ill do 100kb/s. But on those fast torrents 20kb/s usually."if you ever hit 1300 KiloBYTES/second down for more than a second, you're probably getting more than you're paying for" i always hit 1300 on a dl when i receive full bandwidth. Its quite halarious.
Switeck
Even this guy here:http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=50774...is only pumping out about 10-12 KiloBYTES/second per upload slot. And he supposedly has 30 megabit/second upload bandwidth.
