NeoEGM
As most Windows power users know, this OS doesn't let files end with dot or space... BUT, there are .torrent files (like this one: http://isohunt.com/download/38841379/it-docs.torrent, take a look at the folders "General->Learning ...", "General->Mastering ..." and "General->The ...") that have files that don't respect that limitation...When you open this kind of .torrent files in uTorrent, it starts to download, but it gets stopped as soon as it tries to create any of the offending files... There's nothing you can do to get them downloaded but using Vuze (ex-Azureus) [which I hate] or any other client which handles correcly this kind of files/directories...That's all! Thanks!NeoEGM. Ultima
http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=24302Similar to this bug, I suppose. Indeed, it does break things -- needs to be worked around.
NeoEGM
Yes, I think it's the same problem, but it hasn't been solved yet...I've posted a link to a torrent which has this problem...I think that with converting the file/folder "The ..." to "The .._" and "Complete Zyborg Problem Vol 9 19XX Part 1 " to "Complete Zyborg Problem Vol 9 19XX Part 1_" whould suffice...Thank's for you time!NeoEGMhttp://www.neoegm.com/
Ultima
Well, this particular "version" of the problem wasn't ever encountered. The one in the thread I linked to was for files/folders whose names began/ended with spaces (this one is for periods). I've brought this thread to a dev's attention already, so my guess is that it'll be on the todo. Thanks!
