spaceage
Hello.I have this problem. All my details:OS: Windows Xp sp3Router: TP-Link TL-WR524GFirewall: SygateAntivirus: AvastTorrent Client: uTorrent 1.8.1.Provider: Fastweb (italy)Connection: ADSL 6MbI am not a full noob, so i read a lot of post here and in other forums and I tried to fix this problem, but I failedI forwarded the port in my router.I uncecked the "Enable UPnP" in utorrentI uncecked the "Enable NaT-PMP" in utorrentI uncecked the "Randomize port each start" in utorrentI allowed utorrent in Sygate firewallI completely stopped Windows firewall (alg.exe is not running)I did everything i read about, even uninstalled firewall/antivirus and tried another torrent client.but still when I test the port, utorrent says "Port 53924 does not appear to be open"so utorrent cannot accept incoming connection and I have this "boring" yellow triangle saying"No incoming connections. Unless your icon turn green, it could indicate a problem with your network configuration"The download speed is good (up to 500-600 kb/s), but the upload is very low (never more than 50 kb/s)What did i forget to do?I am desperate!!!Can someone help me to fix this problem? retah
u might wanna check the "Enable UPnP" and the "Enable NaT-PMP" in uTuT1.8.1...hmmm...when i got it i had a little prob on my sis's comp but umm...jus chek if your bittorent protocol encryption is on "outgoing" and u check the "allow legacy connections" (u willl find it in the Bittorrent section of your uT preferences)try randomizing your port too and check if it is open if not then u might need to forward it..if it still doesnt work then maybe u r affected by whats goin on in the mediteranian sea(3 internet cables got cut thanks to a bloody ship's anchor...france telecom marine is helpin to fix it though..)might suggest u wait for some more time...jus like me (me affected too...)visit http://www.gulfnews.com/nation/Technology/10186195.html for more info on the cables thing...though it doesnt say much...dont know nuch bout sp3 (which u mentioned in ur stats) though...anyways hope it helps u! Switeck
www.portforward.com ROUTERS section also contains info for many modems with mini-routers and/or firewalls built into them. Many of uTorrent's settings are set based on your upload speed...2nd link in my signature. Too many or too few connections can hurt your download and upload speeds, though while seeding you could get by with only 5 connections max per torrent.Protocol encryption is set under the preferences, BitTorrent settings. Outgoing set to Enable or FORCED plus disabling legacy connections gets by ISPs that detect BitTorrent by reading seed/peer data packets. ...But means you can only connect to peers/seeds that allow encryption.UPnP and NAT-PMP would only help if your router or modem supported them. Otherwise you might as well disable them.
